How Does One Biblically Sanctify One’s SELF!
In The Torah portion for this week “Kedoshim (Holy Ones …).” We a group of instructions which by following them you will Kodesh yourself. Make you way Holy, but by whose standards!?! The very first verse makes it abundantly clear … “And The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, …” So with that said; the very same God who so loved the world which was in a broken and backslidden state, gave Yeshua so that man would not perish but have everlasting intimacy and fellowship with Him. This same God was one who also made do's and don’ts so that we could be separated from this pagan world in order to became his chosen treasure.
LEVITICUS 19:1-4 ESV
The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Speak to all the congregation of the people of Israel and say to them, You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy. 3Every one of you shall revere his mother and his father, and you shall keep my Sabbaths: I am the LORD your God. 4 Do not turn to idols or make for yourselves any gods of cast metal: I am the LORD your God.
JOHN 3:16 ESV
16“For God so loved the world,i that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
EXODUS 19:5-6 ESV
“ 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; 6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”
DEUTERONOMY 6:24-25 ESV
“ 24 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as we are this day. 25 And it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to do all this commandment before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us.’
